More beauty than you can absorb: Athens Archaeology Museum

Stunning, awe inspiring and truly moving are the sculptures, bronzes, reliefs and artifacts on display in the Athens Archaeology Museum.

If you do not have time to visit any other museum, this should be your choice.  The museum interiors are as elegant as the artworks they display.  Spacious, well lit rooms allow for proper study and enjoyment of work on display.

Non-flash photography is allowed.  Signage is in English, and guides are available.

What's so impressive in this museum - aside from the treasures - is that the glass on the encased displays of jewels and artifacts is unique.   Unless you are standing right in front of it, the glass is nearly impossible to see - it looks as if the items are on display in the open air, and it makes for a really close inspection of the rarities.
